West Cork Rapid Response (WCRR) is a locally based voluntary group working in partnership with and supporting the existing HSE Medical Emergency services with a Rapid Response Vehicle based in – and servicing all of – West Cork.  For instance…in the case of a call-out to an accident/incident, a doctor actually arrives in the vehicle to assist at the roadside.  The vehicle contains all the necessary life saving equipment, just like a Mobile A&E Department.  An emergency call to  999 /112  is passed on to the required service / Fire / Ambulance / Gardai / Doctor / Priest etc.  WCRR is another link in this chain of saving lives.
