Thornhill’s Skibbereen have generously allowed the West Cork Rapid Response to put a display in their window for several weeks. This will help to highlight the existance of the voluntary charity medical emergency service in the Skibbereen area.

At the The Fastnet Rally, West Cork Rapid Response had a presence when Eugene Donnelly participated and also raised funds for the worthy cause, with his friend Alan Clarke. Eugene was driving a Class 10 Vauxhall Nova and won his class and finished 32nd overall.

Her efforts are welcomed by the committee who battle to keep the voluntary service on the go for the betterment of the people of West Cork.

On Friday 15th October 2010 at the Parkway Hotel in Dunmanway, an event will be held to raise much needed funds for the West Cork Rapid Response. Liam Walsh (087 0650818 ) and his merry band of helpers promise a fun filled evening. Tickets are €10.00 each, and entertainment includes Philip English and his 3 piece band, The New Sensation from Glor Tire, and Joe Cooke and many other special guests. MC for the evening will be Tim Coughlan of 103 Fm. Spot prizes, raffles, dancing etc.etc. Tickets may be purchased from The Parkway Hotel, Dunmanway and O’Donovan’s Hotel, Clonakilty, or phone Liam at the above mobile number. Doors open 8.30pm. A great evening is assured, so get a group of friends together and head for Dunmanway on the 15th.
