We at West Cork Rapid Response are constantly thinking of ideas for fundraising to keep the Jeep and Doctor of WCRR on the road. Only through the generosity of the people of West Cork and beyond have we been able to fund the diesel, drugs, insurance and jeep maintainence on a month by month basis. The Doctor gives of his time volountarily and is not in a paid position. If anybody reading this blog is interested in holding an event to help raise funds for the charity we would welcome it. Coffee morning, charity cycle, fun run, charity swim, bar-be que whatever, it will all help. Cork being the largest county in Ireland means that down here in West Cork we are always more than an hour from CUH and even two hours if living out on the Beara Penninsula. We have to think outside the box and work on self help plans. Don’t leave it to others…
24 hour pre hospital care is a reality in West Cork with your help. !!!!!
.
Our thanks to Robert Fennell, John Kearney, Fergal Conlon and Aodh O’Donnell whose hard work helped the group to secure the award.
Also the collaboration of Dr. Jason van der Velde and the rest of the committee of West Cork Rapid Response who all contributed their time and efforts to this project.
